Frequently Asked Questions

What is an IBCLC?

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is a member of the mother/baby healthcare team who specializes in the support and clinical management of lactation and infant feeding. Although there are several pathways to achieve this certification, all IBCLCs have taken lactation specific healthcare classes, spent many hours gaining clinical experience, and passed a rigorous examination by an independent, international certifying body.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, MindtheMilk Lactation Support accepts some insurance plans through the Lactation Network. If we do not accept your plan, then upon completion of a consultation with us, you will be provided with a document called a superbill. You may use this to request reimbursement from your insurance company.
